Ivan Nonkovic

Ivan Nonković joined Karanović & Nikolić in 2008 as an associate and a member of the corporate department. Ivan has also worked in Kirkland & Ellis, New York, a leading US private equity law firm, from 2015 to 2016 as a foreign associate in their M&A team, advising public and private equity firms.

‒ Ivan has practiced in all areas of corporate and commercial law involving domestic and foreign entities, such as multi-national manufacturers, banks, industries, trading companies, institutions, etc. establishing or developing their business presence in Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. Ivan has wide experience in advising clients in all matters relating to corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, environment protection and energy and infrastructure.
‒ He received his LL.B. in international law from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law. He is registered as an attorney at the Belgrade Bar Association and as a member of International Bar Association.

Ivan was a contributing author for the Montenegro chapter of the publication “Getting the Deal Through” in their 2010 publication on Mergers & Acquisitions, as well as Karanović & Nikolić publication “Focus on Energy.” Ivan contributed to Practical Law Company publication “Oil and gas regulation in Serbia: overview” published in 2013 and was author of International Bar Association publication “IBA Guide on shareholders’ Agreements – Montenegro” in 2011.

Ivan is a team player who enjoys working with colleagues from the business community and promoting the concept of private equity in Serbia.
